Good beer at cheap prices in Western Quebec

You gotta love living so close to the Quebec border. They always have sales on beer at the various deps or grocery stores.

I work in Quebec but live in Ottawa so I have the best of both worlds. I just picked up 3 cases of MGD at the Super C in Hull for $85.11 taxes & deposit included. That works out to just over $28 a case. Great friggen deal. The last time it was this price was May 24 weekend and I got 9 cases.

At the Beer Store a 24 of MGD is at least $40. A buddy of mine works there and does NOT buy there because it is too expensive. He hits Marche Gravelle on Dalhousie or the Ultramar on Broad in Aylmer.

You can usually get a decent brand of beer at any grocery store for $19.99-$23.00 before taxes & deposit. Some of the premium is $28 before taxes & deposit which still works out to $34 and change. Still cheaper than some premium at the Beer Store.
