When you read that, what comes to mind? For me it is the Canadian Federal government. I see it constantly. I try to avoid wasting time & money but my colleagues & clients must see things differently.
I am afraid for my pension. The reason I am afraid is that with continual un-necessary spending, I believe that there will be nothing left for me when it's my turn to retire.
When it comes to the Federal Public Service, you must remove logic from the equation. This might seem like a blanket/general statement however for the majority of situations I encounter it applies BIG TIME.
I am so very tired of fighting the good fight. I provide suggestions, do research, create reports and other things of that nature, on how to save time & money for my superiors. These all seem fall upon deaf ears & blind eyes. In other words Status Quo. My time & energies were wasted once again. Quelle surprise!
I will continue to point out errors and give my suggestions, however they would need to double my salary to motivate me to go back to the old Gung Ho person that arrived over 5 years ago.
They are trying to slowly convince me to drink their "Kool-Aid" and turn into one of them. As much as I resist it seems the harder people try to waste my time, energy and tax payer's money.
I really don't know what the future has in store. But if the past predicts the future than all of us Canadians are in for major trouble (although not as much trouble as our neighbours to the south)
